The Post Funding Specialist is responsible for assisting loan officers with basic to advanced post-funding related duties including items related to loan filing, boarding packages and submitting to QC, closing letters, and other miscellaneous tasks to ensure operational activities run smoothly and efficiently.  Also ensures loans comply with state and federal laws, regulations, and bank lending policies and procedures.  The Post Funding Specialist is also expected to promote business growth by delivering excellent customer service to internal and external clients.


  • Orders OFAC/ID verifiers, ordering flood certs, and completing orders in iLien.
  • Submit items to the Construction Disbursement Department.
  • Prepare and submit loans files for new loans and maintenance items to imaging.
  • Reviews loan documentation for accuracy and completeness; monitors compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and the Bank’s lending policies and procedures.
  • Actively participates in assuring quality control in regards to audits and certifications. 
  • Prepare and send closing letters along with copies of signed, recorded, and filed loan docs.
  • Adding, maintaining, and tracking of documentation ticklers.
  • Review of title policies and submit title invoices for payment.
  • Review all post-closing items received including prep work and recording of all documents and items needed.
  • Maintain GL spreadsheet and prepare GL certifications.
  • Balances lending-related general ledger accounts; process block entries and miscellaneous corrections. 
  • Assists Loan Officers and other Bank personnel on department business to coordinate inter and intra-departmental activities; resolves inquiries or issues relating to loan documentation preparation matters.


    • Three (3) or more years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 
      • Work related experience should consist of an in-depth background in loan documentation preparation. 
      • Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be applicable to the financial industry.
    • Knowledge and training in progressively responsible lending department operations.
    • Intermediate experience, knowledge and training in all lending activities and terminology.
    • Knowledge of commercial, construction, real estate and consumer loan products and processing. 
    • Intermediate skills in personal computer operation; mainframe computer (ITI) system; word processing, spreadsheet and account opening software programs (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel, etc.).
    • Intermediate math skills; calculate interest and balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; count currency, coin and negotiable instruments in a timely manner.
