Provide support to the Escrow Department by assisting with Escrow Agreement reviews, coordinating account opening with the Personal Banker, resolving customer issues and following up with Escrow Parties.  Be involved in initial Escrow services requests, with bank-wide internal referrals, as well as with external sources (ie. Attorneys, Placement Agents, Brokers, CEOs and CFOs).  Assist with file maintenance, record keeping, disbursement requests via Cashier’s Checks or Wires, 1099-int preparation.  Will work with Support Services with monthly certification and prepare Escrow Account tracking reports and Fee Income reports.


  • Review Escrow Account Agreements (may work with the legal department)
  • Oversee the opening of new escrow deposit accounts
  • Be knowledgeable with Corporate entity documents
  • Work with FIB, BON, Torrey Pines and Bridge Bank for their escrow opportunities
  • Collecting all necessary documents for escrow account approval
  • Handle disbursements (via wires/CC) either through escrow instructions or written instructions
  • Handle responses for escrow disputes, if they arise
  • Setting up escrow binders
  • Preparing escrow fee invoices
  • Able to handle escrow related calls from internal and external escrow parties (attorneys, CEOs, CFOs, Placement Agents)
  • Know how to create Excel spreadsheet for Capital Raise tracking; provide updates to escrow party of all incoming funds
  • Be detailed oriented; time-sensitive duties such as account opening and disbursements are crucial
  • Make sure that all copies of disbursements are available for monthly certification
  • Prepare the information, for Support Services, on an annual basis for escrow parties that require manual 1099s



  • Requires a High School diploma and 5+ years experience in banking, loans, deposits, account and escrow servicing or other directly related experience. College degree preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of branch operations, including deposits, new accounts, banking principles and policies, and loan documentation.
  • Proficient knowledge in escrow agreement review.
  • Working knowledge of understanding legal documentation and experience providing escrow agreement feedback to attorneys.
  • Proficient knowledge of various word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Must have excellent customer service and communicative skills
  • Ability to work with relationship managers and clients as needed.
