Overview

The Core Systems Technical Administrator is responsible for being the primary liaison between the Bank and key strategic vendors, specifically the core system vendor and other ancillary systems. As the subject matter expert, have in-depth knowledge about the systems, interfaces, and vendor. Assist on large, higher complexity projects, mergers and acquisitions. This position has a specialized focus on the lending functions that the Bank performs, including real estate lending, factor loans, asset based lending, technology lending and hotel franchise loans.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintains knowledge of all core applications.
  • Has a deep understanding of interfaces between core and ancillary systems and clients which facilitates quick issue diagnosis.
  • Subject matter expert on lending platforms and provides technical and process support to the Bank to ensure all business processes and user experience needs are met.
  • Works closely with Release Management and the QA team to coordinate Business UAT testing prior to publishing releases.
  • Manages vendor and overall performance.
  • Audits user access reports and escalates as necessary.
  • Manages requests and tickets with vendor.
  • Manages vendor’s client portal and ensures that employees are removed
  • Analyzes monthly spends with vendors and resolves discrepancies
  • Participate in major projects relating to core, including mergers and acquisitions
  • Works closely with members of the Technology, Operations, Loans, ePMO, Vendor Management, Product and Finance teams to resolve issues.
  • Focus on lending applications and ancillary systems, including ProfitStars, Baker Hill, LaserPro
  • Maintains test bank data, utilization and ensures that Bank Control changes stay current.
  • Manage FIS IBS core releases for Loan Operations and Credit departments.
  • Assist with BIC reporting as needed. Audit user list and maintain as necessary.
  • Center-posts all core and online banking technical conversion and integration activities resulting from mergers and acquisitions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Five years of experience required with knowledge in banking and branch operations.
  • Five years of experience in a support role working with business users and third-party vendors.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills to effectively uncover and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal & customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of all types of banking services.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & under pressure as needed.
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent team collaboration and leadership skills.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently.
  • Release management experience
  • FIS Core Banking application experience is preferred.
