Overview

Western Alliance is in the process of evaluating the effectiveness of its Card Operations team in relationship to the current operating environment and future needs.   With this in mind, we are looking to bring on a seasoned card operations analyst to do a situational analysis, gap identification, gap analysis and recommendation(s).   Followed by the implementation of select remediation steps to include policy/procedure changes to quickly remediate select gaps.   The role can be primarily conducted remotely with a minimum of one on-site week evaluation.   The expected timeframe is 60 days, which may be extended as needed and with the appropriate approvals.

Responsibilities

  • Document overarching operating environment current state (who does what)

  • Document current state roles/responsibilities.

  • Identify and document vendor responsibilities/processes and align side by side with current WAB card product and operational responsibilities/processes.

  • Document core debit and credit card regulatory and compliance requirements and cross reference with WAB procedures.  

  • Evaluate process and oversight for effectiveness.

  • Identify and document the gaps and provide recommendations

  • Develop procedures (as agreed to) to solve for immediate gaps.

Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years in debit and credit card bank operations environment to include process design and management.
  • Well versed experience in all key operating disciplines to include card settlement and disputes, fraud management, plastic management and accounting functions.
  • Extensive experience in evaluating card regulatory and compliance requirements and designing processes to effectively manage them.
