  • Overview

    The Real Estate Portfolio Manager position is responsible for the portfolio management of boarded loans within a specified portfolio to ensure the credit risks, compliance and reporting requirements are responsibly monitored and identified. This position may also provide training and guidance to less experienced loan officers and other staff members including providing support to the Team Leader and Loan Officers by servicing a variety of banking clients and collaborating with the Relationship Manager, Loan Officer or Regional Manager to ensure that issues are resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the Bank and client  The position is also responsible for interface with the Credit Compliance Group, and the Baker Hill and IBS systems for the portfolio.  Additional other tasks to include creating and managing ad hoc reports as needed for executive management


    • Ensure loans are booked and input into the IBS and Baker Hill management systems according to approved Loan Presentation, executed documentation and customer needs while conforming to Bank lending policies. Assisting with obtaining in collaboration with Loan Officer sufficient information and/or documentation from customers; solve problems relative to processing, and servicing of loans within the assigned portfolio


    • Complete Site Inspections, Annual Reviews, Construction Progress Reports, Large Relationship Reviews and other portfolio Management reports as required for the assigned portfolio in a timely and complete manner


    • Provide support to branch officers that have real estate loans in their portfolios, in order to ensure compliance with agreements


    • Accompany Officers on customer calls and site visits as needed to obtain an understanding of the business relationship/loan request as a means to providing assistance to the Officer in developing strategies to most effectively meet the needs of the customer


    • Provide daily guidance to the department in the areas of portfolio management, audit exceptions resolution, and loan servicing.


    • Work directly with loan officers and customers (both internal and external) on issues and resolves issues pertaining to their accounts, interface with other departments within the Bank to accurately and timely address portfolio management issues including, covenant tests and compliance, and other reporting requirements as may be applicable from time to time;


    • Provide excellent customer service and represent the bank in a professional and responsible manner.



      • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) , with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting or equivalent work experience


      • Strong portfolio management skills allowing for timely identification of credit concerns and for monitoring in accordance with bank policy and client covenants.


      • Professional presentation, verbal and written communication skills.


      • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment and work on multiple tasks concurrently.


      • Self-starter, entrepreneurial attitude and an upbeat positive outlook.
