  • Overview

    The Risk Data Analyst manages the Bank’s enterprise data warehousing procedures with ultimate responsibility of data processing, data and system integrations, data quality, validation, reconciliations and reporting. This position has a high degree of interaction with personnel in WAB’s Information Technology Department as well as other various support groups when required. Critical to success in this position is the ability to display a high level of independent problem solving, decision making, prioritization, sense of urgency, quick turnaround, adaptability, customer service and implementation skills and the ability to support diverse projects/problems.

    Responsibilities

    Oversees the Bank’s enterprise data warehousing process including data processes, data and system integrations, data quality, validation, and reconciliations.

    Creates concise, timely and easily understandable reports or presentation materials to support senior management business initiatives, internal and external examination requests, regulatory reporting requirements and Board presentations. Produces accurate, detailed and sometimes voluminous reports of performance statistics within the constraints of aggressive reporting deadlines. Supports and enhances the budgeting, planning, and accounting processes. Point of contact to internal customers for report development and support.

    Utilizes various DataMart’s to assess business line performance, trends, KPI’s and leading indicators to efficiently and coherently measure opportunities and/or risks in a useful and actionable framework. Develops and maintains critical financial databases and models that provide reports/operating performance data to corporate/affiliate senior management. Effectively applies high level technical expertise and software knowledge to address complex business and financial projects.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management, economics, finance, or statistics. Graduate degree preferred

    3-5 years’ experience in the banking or financial services industry

    5-10 years’ financial analysis experience

    5-10 years’ of banking and investment product knowledge

    CFA, CPA, CAIA, CFM or other related designation preferred

    Expert level skills with Microsoft Office Suite, SQL Query and Pivot Tables

    Advanced skills and experience with Microsoft Office VBA, SNL and Essbase preferred
