  • Overview

    The position of Lockbox Support Representative is responsible for Lockbox payment processing in a high volume, back office environment. The Lockbox Support Representative, logs and tracks all lockbox mail; sorts, opens and verifies outgoing mail.  Performs various clerical duties, performs quality control, research, answers questions or inquiries  for internal and external customers related to their lockbox accounts; performs data entry balancing and reject/re-entry using specialized software on an image display workstation; provides assistance with a variety of operational duties as assigned. Successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and timely operation of the NCR ITran 300e, Cannon Scanner, Open Opener Machine. Cross training on all positions


    • Operates PC efficiently to obtain and process lockbox customer data/deposits.
    • Opens mail using the Opex 51 and 150 extracting equipment.
    • Prepares and scans batches into appropriate scanners: ITRAN 3000 and ITRAN 30
    • Performs data entry by keying checks by written and legal amount, processes lockbox deposits accurately by ensuring valid payee to department number and confirming payee/signer or deposit agreement on file. 
    • Provides electronic submission for automated accounts.
    • Prepares customized batch report following customers written instructions, email, faxes, or copies finished deposit information by designated cutoff. 
    • Safeguards all confidential information for financial privacy and HIPPA compliance
    • Files, necessary documents, coupons and check storage
    • Provides customer service information to customers and other Bank officers regarding deposits and archived information.
    • Provide back-up as assigned to perform duties in the proof and statements areas.


    • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • One (1) or more years of financial institution operations or lockbox related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 
    • Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Word & Office
    • 10 key by touch skills sufficient to process 12,000 keystrokes per minute
    • Data Entry skills sufficient to enter 30 words per minute
    • Detail oriented, sufficient to catch and correct errors when performing quality control.
