  • Overview

    The Enterprise Architect (EA) helps the organization achieve its objectives by enabling the delivery of business capabilities and stewarding technology resources to their most efficient and effective use. The EA helps to build and maintain IT roadmaps aligned to business strategy, and establishes architectural standards to minimize complexity of the technical portfolio. They also help improve integration quality, support innovation, and enable enterprise productivity and collaboration.



    • Builds the long-term strategic roadmap for all IT systems architecture

    • Aligns IT strategy and planning with the company’s business goals and objectives

    • Integrates business and service strategy into enterprise architecture roadmap

    • Partners with technology and business subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutions

    • Leads the design of technical architectures for delivery, development, and support of large complex projects

    • Guides solution architects and developers to provide scalable and adaptable architectural solutions

    • Develops and maintains policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure that a consistent framework is applied across the company

    • Promotes the use of a shared infrastructure and application roadmap to reduce costs and improve how information flows

    • Manages and facilitates a review board to evaluate project proposals for architectural fit

    • Circulates roadmaps to align IT priorities with business partner needs


    • Bachelor’s in engineering, computer science or 5-8 yrs. of relative experience required
    • Experience with business process mapping and performance modeling is a plus
    • COBIT and/or TOGAF Certification is a plus
    • Experience building enterprise architecture roadmaps
    • Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex infrastructure solutions
    • Experience with establishing architecture diagrams
    • Comprehensive knowledge of software, application, and systems engineering
    • Data architecture experience is a plus
    • Network and Infrastructure experience is a plus
    • Ability to “think big” and challenge conventional wisdom regarding technology hype
    • Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong project management and organization skills
    • Demonstrated ability to build consensus among many stakeholders
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to take principled bets on new technology
    • Ability to establish, implement, and enforce appropriate IT standards
