  • Overview

    We are looking for a Payroll Officer to join our growing company to help process the company’s payroll.  The Payroll Officer maintains and updates employee data; enters and audits personnel and payroll documents; verifies and adjusts time & attendance records; and answers employee questions and completes verification requests.




    • Verifies and adjusts data entry completed by employees and managers in the time & attendance system; researches previous pay period activity including vacation and sick time usage, missed punches, etc.
    • Enters and/or verifies employee payroll information such as withholding data, direct deposit requests, deduction set-up; analyzes and audits multiple payroll accuracy reports 
    • Prepares and transmits files for direct deposits, taxes, deferred comp and retirements; prepares wires and check requests for taxes, savings, retirements, and garnishments 
    • Assists employees via telephone and in-person with questions on tax withholding, direct deposit, and other questions regarding compensation or leave accruals; assists employees with confidential matters; processes and tracks replacement W2s.


    • High school diploma required plus 3-5 year of payroll or accounting experience. 1 years of college accounting/finance course work or equivalent experience preferred.  
    • Basic to intermediate knowledge of payroll or bookkeeping procedures with some working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.  Experience performing bank and/or account reconciliations in a high volume, fast paced environment.  Experience completing routine reports such as daily balancing reports and support schedules. 
    • Intermediate to advanced skills in and personal computer operation; word processing, spreadsheet and database software (e.g., ADP, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project Manager, desktop publishing, etc.).
