    Business Escrow Services provides escrow and paying agency services to clients. As the Client Service Officer, you will be part of a fast growing team expanding into the New York metropolitan area. The Client Service Officer provides day to day processing support for new client onboarding through payment execution. The Client Service Officer works closely with the Relationship Manager and other internal departments to deliver accurate, timely, and outstanding service to our clients. This role requires extensive interaction with external parties including attorneys, placement agents, brokers, CEO and CFOs and therefore a high level of professionalism and competency is mandatory.

     

    Location is in New Jersey 

    Responsibilities

    • Work closely with new clients to gather key documents to support onboarding
    • Ensure KYC and other requirements are accurately completed
    • Review corporate entity documentation
    • Collaborate with legal to review escrow account agreements and letters of transmittal
    • Embrace Ownership of issue resolutions
    • Maintain accurate records of all documents via imaging and hardcopy
    • Establish and maintain client records on the escrow platform
    • Work with bankers to open /close escrow deposit accounts
    • Review and validate payment instructions
    • Update processing system with disbursement data via wire or checks
    • Review reports to reconcile instructions to processing system
    • Analyze and resolve service issues promptly; escalate as appropriate
    • Prepare preliminary client fee invoices
    • Prepare monthly certification documentation
    • Handle delegated RM duties as necessary
    • Comply with all company policies and procedures

     

    Qualifications

    • Prior work experience in escrow and paying agent roles including:
      • Familiarity with escrow agreements preferred
      • Familiarity with legal documentation and entity structures
      • Updates to source database
      • Experience providing escrow agreement feedback to attorneys
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
    • Excellent client service and communication skills
    • Solid understanding of financial markets and trends
    • Must be detailed oriented and adhere to time-sensitive tasks
    • Ability to work under pressure and within deadline-driven environment
    • Must excel in a small team environment, supporting others for success
    • College degree or 5 years relevant work experience required
